1. Problem

Dryer will not start:
Disconnect power supply.
Note: When check continuity or resistance, remove wires to isolate circuit.

a. Check continuity across Door switch.
- Remove wires BU and YL (Gas) or WH and YL (Electric).

- Remove wires BR and RD from switch.
- Attach ohmmeter leads to these terminals and check ohms or continuity.
How to repair/service:
- No continuity with switch in "closed" position, replace switch.

c. Check Timer cam number 1. Place timer in a cycle.
- Remove wires Y-BK and GY from timer.
- Attach ohmmeter leads to these terminals and check ohms or continuity.
How to repair/service:
- No continuity, replace timer.

d. Check Thermal fuse for continuity.
- Remove wires GY(50) on one side terminal and GY(51) from another terminal thermal fuse.
- Attach ohmmeter to these terminals and check ohms or continuity.
How to repair/service:
- No continuity, replace Thermal fuse.

e. Test Drive Motor using motor test cord.
How to repair/service:
If Drive Motor does not start, replace Drive Motor.

- Attach ohmmeter leads to these terminals, this check will show if there is continuity between cam 3 and cam 4.
How to repair/service:
- No continuity, replace timer.

b. Check continuity across Cycling Thermostat.
- Remove wires BU and PU from cycling thermostat.
- Attach ohmmeter leads to these cycling terminals and check continuity.

- Remove wires BU and BK from motor switch.
- Attach ohmmeter leads to these terminals from motor switch, manually close the switch and check continuity.
How to repair/service:
- No continuity, replace motor switch.
